…And so all Israel shall be saved!

(Portions of this offering are tailored from Newell’s notes on Romans)

Still on the subject of Israel and on the end of this deal (that will bring an overflowing flood) - there is good news.

I was asked what I meant by saying all Israel shall be saved.

Was I saying that all Jews including all who have died would be saved?

Did I believe in a dual covenant?

First of all I didn’t originate that statement - the Lord did, for it is written:

Romans 11:26-29 “And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God’s grace is consistent and God’s way is to save a remnant from each generation.

For every person of Israel to be saved would mean they would fall under “Universalism” which holds the position that everyone will eventually be saved. This is not sound Bible teaching... and if anyone has read what we post at DR they would know we do not believe everyone will eventually be saved.

Here are a few verses that state what is written.

Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble (Jacob’s trouble), such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book.

Isaiah 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone that is written among the living in Jerusalem:

Comparing Scripture with Scripture we can know of whom God is speaking.

Everyone living of the last generation; everyone whose name is found written in the book of life!

More confirmation:

Psalms 22:30 A seed shall serve him; it (the remnant seed) shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

Psalms 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

The majority of this present generation will be judged and perish under God’s perfect judgments during Jacob’s trouble and also during the reign of the Antichrist.

Nevertheless there will be a remnant from out of this last generation that will serve the Lord i.e. they will come forth saved through what is coming upon this generation.

A seed will be "accounted to the Lord for a generation."

A remnant will be holy to the Lord; a seed is created brand new that shall praise the Lord.

The saved of Israel must be written in the book of life.

The saved of Israel must apply saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.

There are three aspects of Christ's second coming:

(1) The Rapture of the Church;

(2) The Judgment of the Nations;

(3) The Deliverance of Israel.

1Thessalonians 4:13-17

"The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

1Corinthians 15:50 ff

"We all shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed"

Christ will "present the Church unto Himself, a glorious Church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing"; and that "we wait for a Savior from heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of His glory"

The calling of the Church and that of Israel are never confused in Scripture.

Israel as a nation does not belong to heaven - but to the land which God has given them forever - by a solemn covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

The "Rapture” or catching up of the Church to Christ is a hope belonging only to the Church: not to Israel.

We have written ad nauseam on the second stage - the JUDGMENT therefore only broad strokes in this offering.

The third stage of our Lord's return is for the restoration of Israel to that godly favor connected with the "New Covenant" and the national "taking away of their sins."

We can know for fact that the church is absent from earth: because God cannot have the two testimonies on earth at the same time!

There is no distinction of Jew or Greek in the called out Church.

This next paragraph is for all the dual covenant folks who say they are friends of Israel but do not share with the individual Jew the gospel that will save them – in all reality, they are closet anti-Semites.

The Church has a commission to all nations, including Israel, to evangelize them. The Church cannot evangelize after Israel has been restored. The Church will have been caught up to meet the Lord in the air, and we will have glorified bodies like Christ's; while Israel will be God’s nation upon the earth, in the God given boundaries of Israel.

The church’s hope is above!

What about Israel's hope?

The prophets wrote of Israel’s hope: to be gathered back to their own land to be established there with Israel’s Messiah in their midst - Jehovah "dwelling with them in majesty"- their eyes "seeing the King in His beauty" - and complete and eternal deliverance there from all their enemies and from all their own iniquities.

There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer.

The dispensational program of God is very clear which no "a millennial" argument can change!

Acts 15:14

"…first God visited the Gentiles (the present dispensation),

to take out of them a people for His name."

The prophets agree; as it is written:

Acts 15:16, 17, 19

"After these things I will return,

And I will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen;

And I will build again the ruins thereof,

And I will set it up:

That the residue of men may seek after the Lord,

And all the Gentiles upon whom My name is called,

Saith the Lord, Who maketh these things known from of old."

Instructed Christians who understand the Rapture of the Church and the Judgment of the Lord upon the nations are apt to neglect or under-emphasize the fact that He comes to earth for the Deliverance of His people Israel. But the prophets are full of this subject. Perhaps no passage is more overwhelming than the last chapter of Habakkuk - the prophet's marvelous vision of our Lord's glorious return!

It is a picture of the Remnant of Israel, who put their trust in Jehovah amid the overwhelming flood of the seven year tribulation; the stupendous signs in sun, moon, and stars at the end of the Great and Terrible Tribulation; and the unutterable glory and majesty of the Day of Wrath.

Dark days are coming when all nations under the direct influence of demonic powers, will be "gathered together unto the war of the great day of God the Almighty," "into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-Magedon" - gathered "to cut off Israel from being a nation."

But there is comfort from God to Israel: "But Jehovah will be a refuge unto His people, and a strong-hold to the children of Israel. So shall ye know that I am Jehovah your God, dwelling in Zion my holy mountain."

We make no excuse for spending time here, for the Holy Spirit devotes many pages to this exact subject of “Jehovah's Deliverance of His people Israel” by coming back to them in great power and glory.

Let us then study these three phases or aspects of our Lord's return with balanced time and care: the Rapture of the Church; the Judgment of the Nations; and the Deliverance of Israel.

Verse 27: This is the covenant from Me when I shall take away their sins - we give the literal rendering. It will be no longer a conditional covenant, as at Sinai; but one of grace - "from ME," everlasting.

This is the "New Covenant" of Jeremiah 31$, quoted in Heb 8:8-12. It will not be "according to the covenant that God made with their fathers." Blessing will not depend then on man's obedience; but it will be sovereign mercy at last extended to a whole spared nation.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 “Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Romans 11:25-29 “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in (this dispensation). And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Israel will see the Deliverance that will come at that time.

Isaiah 16:4, 5 "For the extortioner is brought to nought, destruction ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. And a throne shall be established in lovingkindness; and One shall sit thereon in truth, in the tent of David, judging, and seeking justice, and swift to do righteousness."

In conclusion: the “New Covenant” will be actualized in a remnant seed that shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation when the Lord removes their heart of stone (obedience to the law) and gives them a heart of flesh (saved by grace through faith) whereby they will say - “blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord.”

Remember what Jesus said to the unsaved generation of His day…

John 5:43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

You have heard me share about the mirror image in the Word of God. Here we see clearly another mirror image.

At Christ’s first Parousia - Jesus was received by a remnant of that generation but He was rejected by the majority of Israel.

When another comes in his own name the seed of the last generation will reject him - but the majority of Israel will receive him…

At Christ’s second Parousia – Yeshua haMachiach is received by the remnant seed but He is rejected by the majority of Israel.

Isaiah 37:30-32

“And this shall be a sign unto thee,

Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself;

and the second year that which springeth of the same:

and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards,

and eat the fruit thereof.

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward,

and bear fruit upward:

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant,

and they that escape out of mount Zion:

the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.”

A remnant shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

A seed remnant of all Israel shall be saved!

We hope that it has been made with greater clarity that the church is a testimony of God absolutely separate from God’s judgment of the nations - and God’s testimony of Israel. Further, that your understanding of God’s careful and distinct programs has increased your hope and your faith.

The two testimonies cannot be upon the earth at the same time!

This is further proof that the Lord is coming for His called out church prior to His judgment of the world and prior to His Deliverance of Israel.

Those who call the rapture a hoax, those who believe that all prophecy is past history (a done deal) have no understanding of the rightly divided Word of Truth. They have no clue as to God’s separate programs for the church and for Israel…and this is why there is so much confusion throughout Christendom.

May the God of grace richly bless each of you as you individually seek to know the TRUTH of Scripture.
